  • What are the transportation options from the airport to the city?

    Transportation options include train (ÖBB), bus, Uber and taxis.

  • What is the best way to get around Vienna?

    Vienna is a very walkable city and you can explore it easily on foot. The conference and Gala Dinner are both close to the city centre and are easily accesible with public transport as well. If you prefere not to walk, the best ways to get around Vienna are by using public transport (Wiener Linien), bike, taxis, or ride-sharing services like Uber.

  • Is tap water safe to drink?

    Yes, tap water in Vienna is drinkable.

  • How do I get to WKÖ?

    Public transport during the construction works from April to November 2024: During the extensive necessary works, public transportation on Wiedner Hauptstraße between Karlsplatz and Kliebergasse will be interrupted (Lines 1, 62, Badner Bahn). Despite this, you can still navigate public transport effectively with the services provided by Wiener Linien and Wiener Lokalbahnen:
    Line 1: Diversion via Südtiroler Platz/Main Train Station (U) and Prinz-Eugen-Straße.
    Line 59A: Capacity increase through the use of articulated buses.
    Line 62: Operating between Lainz and Dörfelstraße, with connections at Meidling Station to Line 59A and Badner Bahn.
    Badner Bahn: Diversion via Südtiroler Platz/Main Train Station (U) to Quartier Belvedere.

  • How to get to the Welcome Reception at TUtheSky?

    Nearest subway stations:U1, U4 station Karlsplatz (exit Wiedner Hauptstraße). From there approx. 10 minutes walk through Resselgasse and via Naschmarkt (Wienzeile) to Getreidemarkt.
    U3 station Neubaugasse. From there approx. 10 minutes walk via Mariahilfer Straße and Gumpendorfer Straße to Getreidemarkt
    By train:
    From Westbahnhof take the U3 in the direction of Simmering to Neubaugasse station.
    From the main station: take the U1 in the direction of Kagran to Karlsplatz station
    By car: The nearest parking garage is located directly on the Campus Getreidemarkt site. Access is via Lehargasse (one-way street, accessible from Gumpendorfer Straße).
