🚀 Exciting Data Challenge at INCOM 2024! 🚀
We’re thrilled to announce the Data-driven Logistics and Supply Chain Competition as part of INCOM 2024! 📊🔍 This is an incredible opportunity for all conference participants to showcase their skills and compete in two dynamic segments:
🔹 Segment 1: Logistics Competition
Challenge: Tackle a collaborative vehicle routing problem! Optimize routes for trucks facing fluctuating customer demands – trucks can collaborate and share excess space to achieve better utilisation.
Your goal: Allocate trucks to routes to minimize distances ravelled whilst achieving low computational runtime. 📦🚚
Evaluation: Your routing algorithm will be judged on efficiency and environmental impact. Detailed metrics will be unveiled on the first day of the conference.
🔹 Segment 2: Supply Chain Competition
Challenge: Predict delivery delays within a supplier network. Develop models to foresee and incorporate delays in material supply.🏗️📈
Evaluation: Accuracy in predicting and managing delays will be key to winning this segment.
Special Prize: We’re also awarding a special prize for the most innovative algorithmic approach! 🏆

🔗 Competition Details: A collection of example instances will be provided mid-August for participants to develop their models and codes. Competition datasets will then be available a day before the conference. For more information, visit Data Challenge.
